KAMLOOPS, BC—Looking for something to do this Canada Day weekend?  Tops on your priority list should be paying a visit to a Kamloops NorthPaws West Coast Baseball League game.

The NorthPaws have special events planned coinciding with a two game home series against the Kelowna Falcons.  The Falcons and NorthPaws will add another chapter in the “Kamloops-Kelowna” rivalry when they meet on Canada Day and July 2nd.

Canada Day celebrations at Dearborn Ford Field at Norbrock Stadium will include Canadian Food Dish specials at “The Kanteen”, Music by Canadian artists, Canadian themed contest including baseball trivia, an appearance by the Kamloops Dance Gallery, a bouncy castle and face painting. First pitch for the Canada Day affair is 6:35 PM.

On Sunday, July 2nd, Falcons-NorthPaws tilt will be “Save On Foods Family Day.”   This will feature the Save on Food tent, a watermelon eating contest, a parent/child three-legged race, a push up competition and face painting.   Again that day, there will be a bouncy castle for the kids.   The opening pitch for Sunday’s game will be 2:05 PM.

The Canada Day weekend will end with a very special exhibition game between the NorthPaws and Kamloops First Responders on Monday, July 3rd.   The Paws will team up with some local Special Olympians to battle the Law Enforcement squad.  A CVSE vehicle will make an appearance as well.  Fans can meet the NorthPaws at 530 pm.  Five dollars from each admission will go towards the Special Olympics Foundation.  Opening pitch on July 3rd will be 6:35 PM.
