Conference-Leading Talent Joins NorthPaws 2022 Roster
Pitcher Sam Rochard and outfielder Félix-Antoine Chénier-Rondeau will be Kamloops-bound this summer to join the NorthPaws inaugural roster.
Both players are on teams leading their respective conferences and have deep playoff runs front of mind before their focus can switch to the 2022 West Coast League season.
Rochard is a right-handed pitcher at Central Arizona College (NJCAA Division I), and Chénier-Rondeau is a quick, powerful outfielder at Oklahoma City University (NAIA).

Every Friday leading up to the start of our inaugural season in the West Coast League we will be featuring one of our 15 league opponents in our Around the WCL series. The West Coast League was founded in 2005 and will grow to 16 teams in British Columbia, Alberta, Washington and Oregon for the 2022 season. This week: the Portland Pickles.
Locals Sucro and Austin Sign with NorthPaws
Kamloopsians Jared Sucro and Nolan Austin have signed with the NorthPaws for the 2022 season.
Both players are in their freshman year at their respective American colleges and will return to Kamloops to suit up in the West Coast League following their first season of collegiate action.
Sucro, a graduate of St. Ann’s Academy, is a utility player at Cairn University (NCAA Division III).
Westsyde Secondary alumnus Austin is a big hitting, right-handed first baseman at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NJCAA Division I).
Pippins Bats Explode to Equalize Series in Kamloops
The Yakima Valley Pippins took advantage of a big 4th inning to upend the Kamloops NorthPaws 12-4 on Dearborn Ford Field at Norbrock Stadium Tuesday night to equalize the mid-week series.
Heppner Strikes Out Eight to Lift NorthPaws to Victory Over Pippins
The Kamloops NorthPaws got the second half of the West Coast League season off to a good start with a 6-2 victory over the Yakima Pippins on a drizzly Dearborn Ford Field at Norbrock Stadium Monday night.
Sean Heppner (2-0) put up a stellar performance to pick up his second win of the season. He went five innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out eight – including two beer batters!
