Founded in 2005, The West Coast League is a summer wood bat league for college-eligible student-athletes, based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. It emphasizes accelerating prospect development, increasing player exposure, and bettering its member communities. This is established through providing quality leadership, best-in-class competition, and affordable entertainment in an environment that fosters organization, professionalism, and competition.
Expansion in Kamloops, Nanaimo and Edmonton and Springfield, OR for the 2022 season increases the league total to 16 teams in B.C., Alberta, Oregon and Washington.
The summer WCL season features a 54-game schedule from June to August, split into two halves. The division winner from each half face each other in the best-of-3 WCL Divisional Series, with the winners advancing to the best-of-3 WCL Championship Series.
